On behalf of all of us at Woodland Park Zoo, thank you for joining us at the 43rd annual Jungle Party, Our Zoo, Our Oasis - Ensuring a Fierce Future!
We are honored to announce that collectively, more than $2 million was given for Woodland Park Zoo’s pioneering work and conservation mission. As a leading conservation zoo, we believe that saving wildlife and their habitats is our imperative. To achieve this, we are embarking on nothing less than a historic transformation that will redefine the relationship between people, our planet and all its creatures through a broad, social movement for wildlife conservation.
Your support at Jungle Party and throughout the year enables us to build upon our proud history of innovation and leadership while embracing a rapid metamorphosis necessary for our times. We invite you to spend a few moments with our new strategic plan, which highlights how we are redefining how we zoo for the 21st Century and articulates the exciting vision that your generosity will enable.
This year’s Jungle Party donors collectively gave more than $915,000 through our Fund-Our-Future campaign in support of our Zoo for All Initiative.
When it comes to access and inclusion, Woodland Park Zoo is charting new territory. We believe this is not only a philosophy, it’s a necessity because conserving resources and ensuring the coexistence of wildlife and people takes all of us.
The Zoo for All Initiative takes Woodland Park Zoo’s access program—already one of the largest in Washington state—to new heights. With your help, we are on the road to ensuring that every child and adult has access to welcoming, extraordinary zoo experiences that build empathy and drive collective action for a sustainable future for wildlife and people. Your Fund-Our-Future gifts will advance exciting new programs that remove even more economic, physical, linguistic, cultural and geographic barriers.
We are deeply grateful to you for inspiring hope, sparking change and taking a stand for children and animals through your contributions at Jungle Party this year. Thank you to Valence for being our technology sponsor and sponsoring bidder text messages, the online auction, the social media tagboard and creating memories for the guests at the Step and Repeat.
